WHEREAS, the UNDERSIGNED acknowledges the inherent risks involved in riding, working, or just being around horses, which risks include bodily injury from using, riding, or being near horses, among other risks, and further, that both horse and rider can be injured in normal use or in competition and schooling.

IN CONSIDERATION, therefore, for the privilege of participating in an event or show, that ATU Academy, the undersigned does hereby agree to hold harmless and indemnify ATU Academy and further release them, its Owners, employees, independent contractors, and volunteers from any liability or responsibility for an accident, damage, injury, illness, or even death to the UNDERSIGNED or any horse owned by the UNDERSIGNED or to any family member, or spectator accompanying the UNDERSIGNED: The UNDERSIGNED shall bring no claims, demands, actions and causes of action, and/or litigation, against this entity for any economic and non-economic losses due to bodily injury, death, and/or property damage sustained by me and/or my minor child or legal ward in relations to the premises and operations of this stable, including while riding, handling, or otherwise being near horses owned by or in the care, custody and control of this stable.

Under Washington Law (Chapter 4.24, Revised Code of Washington), an “Equine Activity Sponsor” or “Equine Professional” is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in an “Equine Activity” resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
